At the 29th Annual Writers Guild of Canada Awards, Leah Johnston received the Sondra Kelly Award, granted to a mid-career, female-identifying screenwriter for research and development on a self-initiated project. She plans to use the proceeds from the prize to further development on her feature film SHOPAHOLIC.
