Leah Johnston (NSI Drama Prize) has won a Joy award for her upcoming film, My Younger Older Sister.

My Younger Older Sister is a short about a young woman going into a crisis on the eve of her 21st birthday as she realizes she is about to out-age her older sister who died at 20.

The Joy awards recognize outstanding emerging Atlantic Canadian media arts talent.

Along with teammate André Pettigrew, Leah made the NSI Drama Prize short film Some Things Won’t Sleep which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in August 2014.
